Theary Leng Ryder, Civic & Community Engagement Manager

Theary Ryder was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She has a bachelor’s degree in business and earned an English proficiency certificate in Singapore. Ms. Ryder is a nationally qualified medical and legal interpreter and translator, the highest qualification available for the Khmer language. She is currently a full-time interpreter/translator for Maine Health. Ms. Ryder volunteered extensively while living in Cambodia and is a founding member and current President of the Imagine Cambodia Foundation, a non-profit organization that cares for orphaned and vulnerable children. She is a proud U.S. citizen and lives in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, with her family and two French bulldogs. She enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, and traveling.
