 MISSION

Khmer Maine is a nonpartisan, community organization working to improve the quality of life and the social and economic well-being of Cambodians in Maine through cultural exchange, community building and civic engagement. Khmer Maine also partners to support members of Maine’s Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander communities and strives for solidarity with Black and Indigenous communities in Maine.

STRATEGIES

Cultural Exchange: Khmer Maine will share, preserve, and pass on Cambodian cultural traditions, music, dance, and food through celebration, commemoration, and education.

Community Building: Khmer Maine will foster and build community among Cambodian individuals and families and partner and engage collaboratively with other organizations and service providers and our broader Maine community.

Civic Engagement: Khmer Maine is a nonpartisan organization that will support and assist Cambodian individuals and families with citizenship and engage on issues impacting the Cambodian community, including but not limited to immigration policy, health care, and racial and social justice and equity.
